東京を代表する歴史的建造物を実際に訪れ、その体験を Minecraft Education の世界で再現する、特別な1日STEAMイベントです。

このイベントでは、歴史・文化・建築・プログラミング・デザイン思考・エンジニアリング・デジタルクリエイティビティを組み合わせた、他にはない体験型プログラムをご用意しています。

午前中は、日本を象徴する歴史的・文化的ランドマークである皇居をガイド付きで見学します。

皇居の歴史や日本における役割について学びながら、美しい石垣、橋、門、庭園、そして伝統的な日本建築を観察します。

参加者は写真を撮影したり、気になった建築の特徴をスケッチしたりしながら、建築家・エンジニア・ゲームクリエイターが実際の建物をどのように観察・分析し、デジタル空間へ再現していくのかを体験します。

昼食後は Tokyo Innovation Base（TiB）に移動し、午前中に集めた資料をもとに、チームで Minecraft Education を使って皇居を再現します。

午後のワークショップでは、いきなりパソコンに向かってMinecraftを始めるのではありません。

まず約1時間30分をかけて、午前中に撮影した写真やスケッチをもとに、建築家やデザイナーのように観察・分析・設計を行います。

チームでアイデアを出し合い、ホワイトボードや紙を使って建築プランを考えたり、役割分担をしたりしながら、Minecraftで何をどのように作るのかを計画します。

その後、約2時間30分のスクリーンタイムで、実際にMinecraft Educationを使った建築とプログラミングに取り組みます。

画面の前で過ごす時間だけではなく、「観察 → 分析 → アイデア → 設計 → コーディング → 建築」という、実際の建築家やエンジニアに近いプロセスを体験することを大切にしています。

プログラミング未経験のお子さまも安心してご参加いただけます。

初めてのお子さまは、まずは手作業で建築を楽しみながらプログラミングの考え方に触れていただきます。

経験のある参加者は、Minecraft EducationのCode Builderを使い、ブロックプログラミングやPythonで建築を自動化することにも挑戦できます。

私たちの目標は、すべての参加者が「プログラミングは創造力を広げるための道具」であることを体験することです。

これは単なるMinecraftワークショップではありません。

歴史・文化・建築・プログラミング・エンジニアリング・テクノロジー・創造力を一度に学べる、新しいSTEAM体験です。

📅 スケジュール

🕤 9:30 – 集合

Tokyo Innovation Base（TiB）正面入口前に集合してください。

当日はスタッフがお待ちしていますので、お子さまと一緒に集合場所までお越しください。

🕙 10:00〜12:00 – 皇居ガイドツアー 🏯

皇居を散策しながら、その歴史や建築、日本文化について学びます。

午後の制作に向けて、建築の特徴を観察し、写真撮影やスケッチも行います。

🕛 12:00 – ピクニックランチ 🍱

天候が良ければ屋外でピクニックランチを楽しみます。雨天時は近隣の屋内スペースで昼食をとります。

🕐 13:00〜17:00 – Tokyo Innovation Base（TiB）Architecture & Coding Studio 👩‍💻

午前中に撮影した写真やスケッチをもとに、まずは建築デザインの分析、ブレインストーミング、設計、チーム活動を行います。

その後、Minecraft Educationを使って実際の建築とプログラミングに取り組みます。

・完成した作品を発表する

講師1名につき、お子さま6名までの少人数制（1:6）で、安全面にも配慮しながらイベントを運営します。

お子さま一人ひとりが講師のサポートを受けながら、安心して活動に参加できる環境を整えています。

皇居での見学・移動中もスタッフが同行し、午後のワークショップでは各チームを講師がサポートします。

しかし、このイベントは 「本物を見て、学ぶこと」 から始まります。

参加者は実際に皇居を訪れ、その歴史や文化、建築を体感し、自分たちの目で観察したものをMinecraft Educationで再現します。

さらに、プログラミングを活用して建築を自動化する方法にも挑戦し、創造力と論理的思考を同時に育みます。

🇬🇧 1-Day Coding Camp ! Explore the Imperial Palace & Build in Minecraft ! 🏯

Visit one of Tokyo’s most iconic historical landmarks and recreate the experience in the world of Minecraft Education in this special one-day STEAM event.

This unique hands-on program combines history, culture, architecture, programming, design thinking, engineering, and digital creativity.

In the morning, participants will visit the Imperial Palace, one of Japan’s most important historical and cultural landmarks, on a guided tour.

While learning about the history of the Imperial Palace and its role in Japan, participants will observe beautiful stone walls, bridges, gates, gardens, and traditional Japanese architecture.

Participants will take photos and sketch architectural features that catch their attention, while experiencing how architects, engineers, and game creators observe and analyze real-world structures before recreating them in digital spaces.

After lunch, we will move to Tokyo Innovation Base (TiB), where participants will work in teams to recreate the Imperial Palace in Minecraft Education using the materials they collected during the morning.

The afternoon workshop will not start with children immediately sitting in front of a computer.

First, participants will spend approximately 1.5 hours observing, analyzing, brainstorming, and designing based on the photos and sketches they collected during the morning.

Working in teams, they will develop ideas, use paper and whiteboards to plan their structures, divide roles, and decide what they want to build and how they will build it in Minecraft.

They will then have approximately 2.5 hours of screen time to build and program their creations using Minecraft Education.

🧠 Approx. 1.5 hours: Observation, analysis, brainstorming, design & teamwork

💻 Approx. 2.5 hours: Minecraft Education building & programming

Rather than simply spending time in front of a screen, participants will experience a process similar to that used by architects and engineers:

Observe → Analyze → Ideate → Design → Code → Build

No previous programming experience is required.

Beginners can start by enjoying hands-on building while gradually being introduced to programming concepts.

More experienced participants can use Minecraft Education’s Code Builder to explore block-based programming and Python to automate construction.

Our goal is for every participant to experience that programming is a tool that can expand their creativity.

This is much more than a Minecraft workshop.

It is a new kind of STEAM learning experience combining history, culture, architecture, programming, engineering, technology, and creativity.

🕤 9:30 AM – Meeting Point

Please meet us in front of Tokyo Innovation Base (TiB).

Our staff will be waiting at the meeting point. Parents are asked to bring their children to the meeting point at the beginning of the event.

🕙 10:00 AM–12:00 PM – Imperial Palace Guided Tour 🏯

Explore the Imperial Palace while learning about its history, architecture, and Japanese culture.

Participants will observe architectural features and take photographs and sketches that will be used during the afternoon workshop.

🕛 12:00 PM – Picnic Lunch 🍱

Weather permitting, we will enjoy a picnic lunch outdoors. In case of rain or unsuitable weather, lunch will take place in a nearby indoor space.

🕐 1:00–5:00 PM – Tokyo Innovation Base (TiB)

Architecture & Coding Studio 👩‍💻

Using the photographs and sketches collected in the morning, participants will first work on architectural analysis, brainstorming, design, and teamwork.

They will then use Minecraft Education to build and program their creations.

Activities include:

Analyzing architectural design

Creating design plans

Dividing roles within teams

Building and programming in Minecraft Education

Exploring block-based programming and Python

Presenting their completed creations

Parents should pick up their children in front of Tokyo Innovation Base (TiB) at 5:30 PM.

Late pickup is available upon request. Please contact us in advance if you would like to use the late pickup option.

👩‍🏫 Our Support & Supervision

1 instructor for every 6 children (1:6 ratio)

We maintain a small-group ratio of one instructor for every six children, allowing our team to provide individual attention and support throughout the day.

Staff will accompany participants during the Imperial Palace visit and transportation, while instructors will support each team throughout the afternoon workshop.
