ClawBio + Nebius Hackathon Berlin: Agentic AI for Genomics

One day. Real genomic data. You build agents that do actual scientific work, and demo what they found at five.

AI agents can now plan multi-step work, call tools, run analyses and recover from failure. Biology is where that gets hard, because it demands reproducibility, provenance, and knowing when to abstain.

ClawBio is the open infrastructure for that. Agents work through explicit, versioned, auditable skills, so what an agent did can be inspected, reproduced and challenged.

You will put an open-weight model in charge of 94 genomics skills and point it at real public data.

🧬 Three challenges. Pick one.

1. End the diagnostic odyssey

Five openly consented family genomes, hundreds of candidate variants. Produce a ranked shortlist with the evidence visible, then be honest about the variants you were not entitled to rank.

2. A cancer target you would defend

Pick a tumour type in TCGA and shortlist targets. Make the case against each one as visible as the case for it. Show us a target your agent killed.

3. Whose genome does this fail?

Take a published polygenic risk score, apply it across ancestries, and find where it stops meaning anything. Then build the agent that declines to report it.

👥 Who should come

Bioinformaticians, computational biologists, genomics researchers, software engineers and ML practitioners who want to build agents that do real scientific work.

No prior ClawBio experience needed, and no prior experience with AI coding agents: about a third of the room will have none. You should be comfortable reading and running code.

Teams of four to five, formed on the day. You do not need to arrive with one.
