Alireza Yaghoubi is a materials scientist, three‑time founder, and two‑time TEDx speaker working at the intersection of deep‑tech research and commercialisation. He is the CEO and Co‑founder of Sydsol, a UNSW spinout developing a new class of peel‑and‑stick, potentially see‑through solar panels.

Sydsol is a UNSW spinout developing ultra‑thin, lightweight, see‑through solar films that retrofit directly onto existing windows and facades. Using abundant and stable materials, Sydsol aims to turn buildings into power generators without the need for rooftops or structural reinforcement.
