AI in Sustainability: Friend or Foe?

Most of us are using AI in some form now, whether for data pulls, supplier research, or first drafts of things we used to write from scratch. While it's genuinely useful, the energy and water behind all that compute is adding up, and a few of the companies building these tools have watched their own emissions go the wrong direction while their net-zero targets stay put. It's an odd position to be in where the thing making our work easier may be making the problem harder.

Let's compare notes over lunch. We encourage you to bring a story, something that worked, or something that didn't in your experience with AI. A few things we can discuss:

Where has AI actually helped in your work and where has it disappointed you?

Is AI-driven energy demand showing up in your emissions conversations yet?

What would "using AI responsibly" look like for you?
