About the Event
Merantix Capital is back with the next installment of our AI Breakfast series.
Our June edition of the AI Breakfast explores one of the most provocative questions in the bio field today: how far can AI go in autonomously running living systems? We'll look at the rise of intelligent, self-optimizing bioprocesses - where real-time sensing and machine learning steer cell culture and fermentation - and what it takes to move from AI-assisted to genuinely AI-autonomous biomanufacturing.
Expect a candid conversation spanning fundamental ML research, applied bioprocessing, and the realities of deploying this technology in regulated, high-stakes environments, from biopharma to next-generation food and materials.
Over croissant, coffee and good company, we'll explore the bottlenecks holding biomanufacturing back, the data challenges of modelling biology, and where Berlin's AI-x-Bio ecosystem goes next.
Speakers:
Nicole Büttner (Founding Partner at Merantix Capital)
Johannes Maeß (ML PHD and Researcher at BIFOLD)
Juan Manuel Garzón Vela (Founder and CEO CULTZYME)
