Event Match Terms of Use

Last updated: 12 July 2026

Automated access is prohibited. Scraping, crawling, bot-based or bulk downloading, reproduction, republication, extraction as a database, and use in the training of artificial intelligence or machine learning models, of this Platform's content or its members-only people directory, is strictly prohibited without our prior written permission. In case of violation, together with a contractual penalty per record, compensation for all commercial damage is demanded and legal/criminal remedies are pursued. All access is logged; the data contains trap (canary) records that trace a leak back to its source. See article 6 for details.

This Terms of Use Agreement ("Agreement") governs the relationship between the Event Match platform ("Platform"), operated by YANHAK LTD, a private limited company incorporated in England and Wales (company no. 17176952), registered office 41 Luke Street, London, England, EC2A 4DP ("Company", "we"), and the natural and legal persons who use the Platform ("User", "you").

By registering for or using the Platform, you declare that you have read, understood and accepted all provisions of this Agreement.

  • Venue Panel: Venue listing, reservation requests, calendar management, verified venue badge.

2.4. Matching and warm introductions

2.4. The core of the Service is AI-assisted matchmaking and warm introductions between users; event discovery and registration support this core. The Platform surfaces suggestions and facilitates introductions, but does not guarantee any match, response, meeting, outcome, or the identity, suitability, intentions or conduct of any person. The Company does not employ, represent, vouch for or endorse any user or introduced person. All interactions, communications, meetings and any resulting arrangements are solely between the users concerned, at their own risk and responsibility; you are responsible for your own due diligence and decisions.

2.5. User-submitted events and third-party content

2.5. Events on the Platform may be submitted by users or aggregated from publicly available sources; unless expressly stated otherwise, the Company acts as a discovery platform and aggregator, not as the organizer of an event. The person who adds or submits an event is solely responsible for the accuracy, lawfulness and completeness of the information and for holding the necessary rights and authorization to list it. Where the person who submitted an event is not that event's organizer, all responsibility for the listing and its consequences rests with that person, and the Company assumes no responsibility for the event, its content, changes, cancellation, tickets, or anything that occurs at it. The Company does not organize, verify, endorse or guarantee third-party events. An organizer or rights-holder may request correction or removal via the contact form. Registering for or attending any event is at your own risk.

3. Membership and Account

3.1. Creating an account on the Platform is free. All users start as a base "attendee".

3.2. You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide when creating an account is accurate, current and complete.

3.3. The security of your account (password storage, session management) is your responsibility. You must notify us immediately in case of suspicious access.

3.4. A User may open only one account. If multiple accounts are detected, the accounts may be suspended.

3.5. The Company reserves the right to close, without prior notice, any account where it detects malicious use, a fake account, or behavior contrary to this Agreement.

4. Fees and Payment

4.1. Creating an account and attending free events is free of charge and no fee is requested.

4.2. Event Match Pro membership fee: displayed as £9.99 per month, charged once a year as £119.88 (GBP). Membership is an annual plan.

4.3. The basic panel tools (Organizer, Speaker, Venue) are free. Optional visibility products such as promotion and showcase may be offered for a fee; current prices are shown on the relevant page.

4.4. Event Match Pro membership is displayed and charged in Pounds Sterling (GBP). Other products such as event tickets may be displayed in Turkish Lira (TL). All collections are made through Stripe infrastructure and transferred to the Company's United Kingdom bank account in GBP; for TL products, the exchange rate difference is applied by Stripe.

4.5. All fees are renewable subscriptions. They renew automatically at the end of the current period; charging continues unless you request cancellation.

4.6. Payments are made through Stripe infrastructure (PCI-DSS Level 1 certified). Your card details are never stored on the Platform and are transmitted directly to Stripe in encrypted form.

4.7. For event tickets, the Company is in an intermediary position; the actual seller of the ticket is the event organizer. The invoice is issued by the organizer, not by YANHAK LTD (if it is a commercial business).

5. Cancellation and Refund

5.1. You can cancel your Event Match+ membership and panel add-ons at any time from Account Settings. After cancellation, your access continues until the end of the current billing period, and no fee is charged for the new period.

5.2. Under applicable consumer protection law (including, for consumers, the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013), the right to cancel a digital content subscription cannot be exercised once the subscription has been started and access to the service has been supplied with your consent. For this reason, no guaranteed refund is granted for Event Match+ and panel subscriptions; you may cancel at any time to stop the next renewal.

5.3. The refund policy for event tickets is determined by the relevant event organizer and stated on the event detail page. Default policy: full refund 7+ days before the event, 50% refund between 3-7 days, no refund with fewer than 3 days remaining.

5.4. If the event is cancelled, the ticket fee you paid is refunded by the organizer. The Company is under no obligation to carry out this refund.

6. User Obligations

6.1. You will use the Platform only for legitimate and lawful purposes (event discovery, participation, creation).

6.2. You will not share misleading, fake or defamatory content, content that violates the rights of others, or content that is contrary to the laws.

6.3. You will not engage in actions that would harm the Platform's technical infrastructure (DDoS, exploiting security vulnerabilities).

6.4. You will not send spam, unsolicited email or malicious content.

6.5. Automated access and scraping prohibition. Without our prior express written permission, and apart from viewing performed by a human through a normal browser, you may not access, collect, scrape or bulk-download the Platform content (including event listings, people-directory records, profiles and their compilation) by any automated method such as a script, bot, crawler, scraper, headless browser, API imitation or bulk requests.

6.6. Reproduction, reuse and artificial intelligence training prohibition. You may not copy, reproduce, store, cache, republish, distribute or sell the Content (in whole or in part); you may not extract a database from it or transfer it into another database; you may not create a product, service or dataset that competes with the Platform or is derived from it; and you may not use the Content in training, feeding, evaluating or developing artificial intelligence, machine learning, LLM or similar models. It is likewise prohibited to exceed or bypass access controls, login requirements, rate limits or other technical measures, and to circumvent these prohibitions by opening numerous accounts or by concealing your identity.

6.7. People directory and data protection. The members-only people directory contains personal data processed under UK GDPR and EU GDPR, and is provided solely for viewing by hand by logged-in members. Unauthorized copying, scraping, extraction or use elsewhere of the people directory is both a breach of this Agreement and unlawful, including under applicable UK data protection law and the Computer Misuse Act 1990 (unauthorized access to, and unauthorized acts in relation to, computer material). This Agreement grants you no authority to process any personal data. For requests to be removed from the directory, you can use the data removal form. Additional provisions for data subjects resident in Turkey are set out in Appendix A.

6.8. Monitoring and trap records. All access made to the Platform (including account, IP address, viewed records and time) is logged and monitored. The Content contains unique trap (canary) records that belong only to us and are fictitious; the appearance of these records anywhere outside the Platform is deemed evidence that the Content has been copied without permission and allows us to identify the source of the leak (the infringing account).

6.9. Liquidated damages and compensation. In case of a violation of articles 6.5, 6.6, 6.7 or 6.8, the infringer agrees and undertakes to pay, as a liquidated-damages clause that requires no burden of proof and cannot be reduced, an amount equivalent to 1,000 (one thousand) US Dollars for each record accessed, copied, downloaded or processed without permission; in any case not less than an amount equivalent to a total minimum of 250,000 (two hundred fifty thousand) US Dollars. This penalty clause does not eliminate, but is added to, the following claims of ours: (a) all direct and indirect damages; (b) lost profits and missed business opportunities; (c) reputational and commercial loss; (d) damages arising from unfair competition and the economic torts; (e) an interim injunction to stop and prevent the violation; (f) all litigation, enforcement, expert-witness and legal costs. The total compensation that may be demanded is unlimited; if the actual damage exceeds the penalty clause, the exceeding part is also demanded separately. Violations may also give rise to criminal liability under the Computer Misuse Act 1990, and to civil and criminal liability under applicable UK intellectual property law (including the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988). This article is not affected by, and is an exception to, the limitation of liability in article 10.

7. Organizer Obligations

7.1. Organizers using the Organizer Panel are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the event information.

7.2. In case of the event being cancelled or postponed, it is the organizer's obligation to inform registered attendees within a reasonable time.

7.3. The tax responsibility for the revenue obtained from ticket sales belongs to the organizer; the Company is only in the position of a technical infrastructure provider.

7.4. An organizer who sets up a premium event (open to members only) guarantees that the event genuinely offers value to members; otherwise it is removed from the Platform.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1. The Event Match brand, logo, software code, design, content and all visual elements are the intellectual property of the Company and are protected under applicable UK intellectual property law (including the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988).

8.2. For the content you upload (event information, profile photos, biography, images), you grant the Company the right to display, distribute and market it on the Platform. This right ends when the content is deleted.

8.3. Publishing content that violates the intellectual property rights of others is prohibited. Upon complaint, the content is removed and the account may be suspended.

9. Data Protection (UK GDPR and EU GDPR)

For detailed information about the processing of your personal data, see the Privacy Notice. The Platform is compliant with UK GDPR and EU GDPR (and, for data subjects resident in Turkey, with KVKK, as set out in Appendix A). Your card details are protected by Stripe according to PCI-DSS standards and are not transmitted to the Company.

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1. The Company does not warrant that the Platform will operate uninterrupted or error-free. Scheduled maintenance, technical issues or third-party service disruptions may lead to temporary access problems.

10.2. The Platform is in an intermediary position in the relationships between Users. The Company cannot be held responsible for disputes between Organizer-Attendee, Organizer-Speaker, Organizer-Venue Owner and other Users.

10.3. The content, quality, occurrence or non-occurrence of the event is the responsibility of the organizer. The Company is only a technical platform provider.

10.4. The Company's liability cannot exceed the total Platform usage fee for the period in which the violation occurred.

11. Termination of the Agreement

11.1. You can delete your account at any time from Account Settings.

11.2. The Company may suspend or close your account without prior notice in case of a breach of the Agreement.

11.3. When the Agreement ends, your profile information is deleted; however, due to tax and legal obligations, event registration and payment data may continue to be stored for the legal periods.

12. Amendments to the Agreement

The Company reserves the right to update this Agreement. Significant changes are notified by email. Continuing to use the Platform after an update means that you accept the new terms.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

This Agreement, and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes or claims) arising out of or in connection with it or its subject matter, is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are first sought to be resolved through negotiation in good faith. Failing that, the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. Additional provisions for data subjects resident in Turkey are set out in Appendix A.

14. Contact

For your questions and feedback, you can use the form on the contact page. For legal notices: YANHAK LTD, a private limited company incorporated in England and Wales (company no. 17176952), registered office 41 Luke Street, London, England, EC2A 4DP, United Kingdom.

Appendix A — Additional term for users and companies resident in Turkey (KVKK)

This Appendix applies in addition to, and does not override or replace, the English-law main body of this Agreement. For data subjects resident in Turkey, the members-only people directory also constitutes personal data protected under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data ("KVKK"). Any unauthorized copying, scraping, extraction or use elsewhere of the directory is, in addition to the breaches described in article 6.7, also a violation of KVKK and may be reported to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu), giving rise to the applicable administrative and criminal sanctions. Requests to be removed from the directory may be made via the data removal form.
