Café Pause AI – Workshop: Timescaping

It’s not in our culture to think too much about the long-term future. Maybe it’s not even in our nature. We also live in a time where technology develops significantly within a single lifetime. What if that pace keeps accelerating? Can you imagine technology advancing that much in just a few days? That thought alone forces us to change our mindset and look beyond today.

Two hours in 2126

Timescaping is an interactive live session where we imagine the year 2126 together. Guided by Timescaping cards, you will speculate out loud on scenarios for a potential future.

What does a society look like where no one has to work anymore?

What could a synthetic pet be?

The cards kick off the conversation, and participants shape it together. Whether you are on the same page as the others or have completely different ideas: the differences are precisely what make it interesting. Strong opinions are welcome, and having no opinion is fine too. No preparation is needed. At the end of the evening, you will also create your own Timescaping card about a topic you care about to take home with you.
