About the Event

The Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network (OVIN) is pleased to invite you to our upcoming showcase featuring innovative Ontario companies supported through the OVIN R&D Partnership Fund.

OVIN is pleased that Victor Fedeli, Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation, and Trade will be joining industry leaders, investors, researchers, government partners, and other members of Ontario's mobility ecosystem as we highlight cutting-edge technologies shaping the future of transportation.

Date: Wednesday, July 29, 2026

Time: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Location: McMaster Innovation Park, 175 Longwood Road South, Hamilton, Ontario L8P 0A1

The showcase will feature demonstrations and presentations from OVIN-supported companies developing innovative solutions in autonomous vehicle technologies, electric mobility, hydrogen, advanced software platforms, and more.

Featured Companies

GeoMate Inc, in collaboration with the City of Kitchener, is developing high definition (HD) maps to support a real-world urban testbed for autonomous driving technologies. At the event, they will showcase how their OVIN-supported mapping platform enables safer road planning, reduced congestion, and future-ready mobility infrastructure.

GravitySlide and their partner Nomad Custom Trailers are advancing two OVIN-supported technologies: GravityDrive, a remote operated trailer maneuvering system for low-speed environments, and GravityAxle, an electric assist axle that boosts EV towing performance at highway speeds. They will demonstrate how these innovations improve safety, accessibility, and EV towing capability.

iMVR, working with DriveWise and Aerodrome International Security, has developed IRIS, a VR-enabled surface mapping and training platform. Supported by OVIN, the system recreates real-world environments such as Toronto Pearson International Airport to deliver lifelike training for safe vehicle operation in complex airside environments. Their demo will showcase the VR training modules in action.

Inmotive, together with Bando Chemical, is developing a two-speed gearbox for two and three-wheel vehicles. Building on their earlier automotive prototype, this OVIN-supported project enhances EV range and performance through more efficient power delivery. Their demonstration will highlight the gearbox’s efficiency gains and real-world application potential.

Next Hydrogen is demonstrating its OVIN supported electrolyzer technology, designed for efficient, scalable production of green hydrogen. Their project powers forklifts at a large distribution facility in Ontario using clean hydrogen, showcasing one of the most advanced hydrogen production systems globally. At the event, they will highlight the system’s value proposition and its role in decarbonizing transportation and industrial operations.

The OVIN Team and Minister Fedeli look forward to welcoming you!
