Adam Sauer is an Electrical Engineer, Part 107 Pilot, IEEE Smart Village Committee volunteer, and VR Entrepreneur. His presentation discusses the IEEE Smart Village (ISV) Committee that deploys grants and technical support to rural village based renewable energy systems. These projects are primarily awarded around relevance to local social enterprises and education use-cases.

Adam will present on some of their supported efforts, as well as their current technical focus on developing an open hardware and software stack designed with energy sovereignty at its core. Come learn what problems have plagued projects in the past, their current approach, and what problems have yet to be solved.
