About the Event

Let's be honest: most of us are still using AI as glorified autocomplete. We copy-paste from ChatGPT or let Copilot finish our sentences. Moving from that to actual coding agents — systems that plan, write files, and execute multi-step engineering tasks — requires a completely different playbook.

On Thursday, August 13 (2:00 PM Lagos · 3:00 PM Joburg · 4:00 PM Nairobi · 6:00 AM PT), we open a four-part live series with engineers from a frontier AI lab — the people who teach agentic workflows to the world's most sophisticated engineering teams. The series builds toward an in-person build sprint in San Francisco this October. More dates announced after Session 1.

What we're covering:

Context is everything: structuring your repo and docs so the agent doesn't get lost

Spec-first workflows: using agents to nail the planning phase before a single line of code

Parallel execution: managing multiple features at once with work trees

Production vs. vibe coding: CI/CD integration, failure-log diagnostics, rigorous code review

The human loop: knowing exactly when to step in — and writing automated evals so you know the code actually works

The details.

We're keeping this room small: 500 African builders, founders, and students who actively ship. It's an approved list, not first-come-first-served, and approvals roll out within 48-72 hours of our partner announcement.

If you're accepted, your application creates your Silicon Xchange builder profile — it handles your logistics and your invitations for the rest of the series and the October sprint.

PS: no recording, no replay.
