Work in the GenAI Era: From AI Pilots to AI-Native Organizations (w/ The AI Collective)

Generative AI has enabled organizations to automate tasks, generate content, write code, and analyze data. Yet despite widespread experimentation, relatively few organizations have achieved meaningful transformation. Why do so many successful AI pilots fail to scale?

This talk introduces the T-W-O (Task–Workflow–Organization) framework, arguing that AI transformation is ultimately about redesigning workflows rather than optimizing individual tasks. Drawing on research, industry examples, and ideas from The Owner: A Business Novel about Work in the GenAI Era, the session explores how organizations can reallocate work between humans and AI, evolve toward AI-native ways of working, and prepare for the future of knowledge work.
